If a job satisfaction scale is to be constructed and standardized then one has to refer the books on industrial psychology mainly, and also to some extent books on organizational behaviour. Even if the job satisfaction scale for teacher is to be constructed then the same books are useful, the reason is, the teachers are also employees. They receive salary. They have to work under the supervision of seniors, also they have a particular type of working condition. In other words, whenever a job satisfaction scale has to be constructed, one has to determine first the antecedent variables that are responsible for job satisfaction or dissatisfaction, hi present study, in addition to the books on industrial psychology and organizational behaviour, the famous book of AlLen Edwards (1969) "Techniques of Attitude Scale Construction" was used mostly, and for carrying out item analysis, the famous book "Psychological Testing" by Anastasi and Urbina (1997) were referred. The main reason is, Job Satisfaction is mainly an attitude.
